SYNOPSIS :
An original play, written and directed by Shruti Shah, highlighting the issues of language and culture that new immigrants to Canada face. The juxtaposition of two South Asian families – one fresh off the plane and one that has been in Canada for 30 years deftly and wittily underscores the time warp that Canadian South Asians are caught in; premiered at the 2005 Masala, Mehndi, Masti Festival, Harbourfront Centre, Toronto.
